Fairest Mother,
You are deeply and dearly loved.
My time has now come, for my years can no longer
be hidden - protected under Step Father and your
watchful eyes. In Baptism I began my public ministry.
My routine won't change much. I have started a new
profession in addition to carpentry. Fishing.
It's exciting to be on a boat in the water; I feel
so close to the very Heavens. Sometimes the orange
blossom sky looks like a beautiful desert flower about
to bloom over the waters.
My ministry has started with twelve special people, but
you are really my first and most devoted follower.
When we're not fishing, we mend nets, break bread
on the beach by the fire, and recount stories. -
Peter is my rock, and will make a great Shepherd.
You asked what a typical day was like for me. Well,
it always begins and ends with a prayer - just like you
taught me. I usually go off alone to talk with Our Divine
Father at those times. In between, I pray with both
friends and strangers. All people, Mother,
tax collectors and sinners, too. I try my best
to become the prayer, always mindful to give
Praise to Our Divine Father in Heaven.
The Holy Spirit helps me greatly when I don't have
the words. It is an inward grown, like the pains of intense
hunger in the pit of my gut. Hunger. Hunger and
poverty all around. I see many poor, hungry folk
in the towns I travel - I try to heal them all, but some
won't accept the healing. So I pray, and pray, and pray.
These are the typical, ordinary days for me now. But, you
know, I think "ordinary" days are times to process, reflect,
grow, and prepare - not really "ordinary" at all!
I miss you so much, Mother, and soon will come for a visit.
Faithfully, Your Son
