The Sacrament of Reconciliation

Celebrating Reconciliation

Weekly
Confessions Friday's at 8am, after Saturday Vigil Mass, during Adoration on 1st Friday.

By Appointment
If it is not possible for an individual to come at one of these times, he or she should feel most welcome to call the parish office to arrange an appointment:  518-765-2805

Seasonal Parish Reconciliation Services
In addition to offering weekly opportunities to celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation individually, we offer two communal penance services during the year, one during Advent and the other during Lent.  This is a special time set aside for our community to come together to experience and celebrate Christ's healing love.  Seasonal Parish Reconciliation services are advertised in advance through the bulletin and parish website.

First Reconciliation
All children at St. Matthew's are provided the opportunity to celebrate the sacrament of First Reconciliation before receiving First Communion, and are provided age-appropriate catechetical instruction to prepare for this special sacramental moment.  If you have an older child / youth in your household who has not yet experienced the sacrament of Reconciliation, our parish Faith Development team will be honored to work individually with the child to prepare them for this special sacramental moment.  Please call the parish office at 518-765-2805 to be connected to a member of the parish Faith Development team.
